MPL Singapore is back with teams looking to replay, and reset

SINGAPORE, 30 January - It's a brand new year of esports as MOONTON Games, and Zenway jointly announce the fifth season of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Singapore (MPL SG). New faces looking to join or make an impression in the MPL SG arena can do so at https://register.mplsg.gg/, launching 1 February.

The last iteration of MPL SG garnered over 32,000 peak concurrent viewers, a record high for the league. The on-ground crowd was also at full capacity, with over 3,000 fans showing up across three days to cheer for their favourite teams at Our Tampines Hub during the Playoffs and Grand Finals.

Take control of the competition

Form up with five members and sign up for the open qualifiers to take a shot at becoming pro MLBB players, which will be held online from February 18 - 19. The top two teams will advance to the Regular Season of MPL SG S5, where they will face old dames from Season 4 looking to get themselves back up at the top once again. Registration ends 15 February, 11:59 pm (GMT +8).

"We had an awesome run in Season 4, achieving a record-breaking PCV and a full house for our Playoffs," said Lee Jian Ming, Managing Director of Zenway. "Season 5 will expand on our fans' experiences, where we aim to continue enhancing the viewing experience online, while also improving the onsite fan experience to ensure accessibility and space for a larger audience."

Opportunities to perform on an international level

The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional Leagues serve as pathways to regional and international stages, such as the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Southeast Asia Cup (MSC) and the M-Series World Championship. In previous seasons, local teams such as RSG SG and Slate Esports (formerly known as EVOS SG) represented Singapore on the international stage.

"Local esports athletes have a lot of passion and talent to offer," said Mr. Lee. "We always look at ways to raise the level of our league and players, and one of the ways is to expose the teams to international events where they can benefit from the experience."
